It has 12 km of beaches, with good views of the Rock of Gibraltar and across to Africa, a good port and marina and several world class golf courses.

In recent years, many internationals as well as Spanish have chosen Sotogrande as a place to live, due to its ease of access, only 1.5 hours from Malaga airport and 15 minutes from Gibraltar and the airport there. British, Scandinavians, Belgians and French lead the ranking of Europeans who have chosen to live in this area.
