The architect Fernández del Amo was in charge of the town project. In 1956, the new houses and plots of land began to be handed over to those who were to be their neighbors. The urban nucleus was within the municipality of Albatera, a municipality on which it continued to depend during the following decades under the name of San Isidro de Albatera. Finally, in 1993 and at the request of the Popular Party of Albatera, it became independent from Albatera, forming an independent municipality.
