The Castle  is located next to the Romanesque church, Baix Empordà region of the province of Girona.A large rectangular tower of 6 x 10 meters of sides and 13 meters of height raised on a rocky base is preserved. The tower is topped by merlons, although only visible by one of its faces. The access is made by a semicircular domed arch on which, at half height, there is a matacán.It is a castle belonging to the Romanesque that is documented for the first time in 1362, although its origin is prior to this date. Of the original castle there is only an imposing rectangular tower that is attached to a farmhouse.The rigging of the walls, in perfectly straight rows, is formed by fairly regular and wellcarved ashlars, which slightly reduce their size in the upper levels. As usual, the thickness of the walls is also decreasing in height, and there are some remains of battlements in the final crowning, in the northern part.
