Bishop Almarcha was a native of Orihuela and had a special devotion to La Virgen del Camino, which he transmitted to his hometown, which ended up taking the name of La Virgen del Camino in one of its districts, a place where there is also a Hermitage in honour of La Virgen del Camino.
