The county side of Nerja offers some of the best views on the Costa del Sol to be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates long walks in the warm summer evenings with a sun set that is hard to beat, there are many Natural parks close to Nerja which are completely un spoilt, there are also Horse riding trips at a very reasonable rate that takes you up and around the local Mountains tracks for the whole family to enjoy.

Further inland there are miles and miles of Andalucian countryside to explore. In the mountains behind Nerja, there are some beautifully preserved and picturesque whitewashed Pueblos Blancos (white villages); one such is Frigiliana, which has little changed over the centuries.
