There are still Arcadias in Asturias and this, without a doubt, is one of them. Let us not allow them to disappear. And so you will be able to say: Yes, I also lived in Casa Vide! Casa Vide is a well-known property in the municipality of Qurós made up of fifteen (15) sub-properties, all of them registered with their cadastral references. In total they occupy an area of 87,126 m2 distributed in pastures, fruit trees, chestnut and oak forests and several buildings: a house that needs a complete renovation, two stables, a granary, a wine cellar, a two-storey building with a warehouse and a small wine press, another warehouse-chicken coop and a small shop. Communication is very good; it is accessed by a wide road in very good condition and it is located very close (7 minutes by car) to the capital of the municipality of Quirós, Bárzana and 50 km from Oviedo, in a place surrounded by mountains away from noise and stress and on the southern slope of the Sierra del Aramo, at the beginning of the climb to the Cobertoria port. It constitutes a small sample of the ethnographic wealth of the Asturian mountains in a rural and mountainous environment. The possibilities for outdoor activities in the surroundings are endless, hiking, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, climbing, mountain biking, fishing, hunting or simply tourism. As for the buildings: The house has a constructed area of 108 m2, distributed over two floors of 54 m2 each. On the first floor we enter a hall where we find a bread oven and a fireplace. We follow a distributor that gives access to a large, well-oriented kitchen and a service room and a small toilet. Also on this floor, at the back there is a pantry or small room. We go up to the bedroom area on the second floor consisting of a bathroom and four bedrooms, one facing north, another west, and two others facing southwest, in that order. There is also a third floor where there is a small attic. The state of the house needs a complete renovation. The first adjoining stable has 124 m2 distributed over two floors of 62 m2 each. The second stable attached to the latter occupies 64 m2 distributed on two floors of 32 m2. In front of the house is the granary, very old and in good condition. Behind the granary is the first warehouse, approximately 35 m2. In front of the granary there is a small shop and behind it a small room that serves as a wine cellar. A little further to the left of the second stable is the second warehouse, distributed on two floors of approximately 25 m2 each. As for the land: The total surface is just over 8 hectares, of which 64,000 m2 correspond to scrubland, fruit trees and bushes and 16,000 m2 to pastures. The orientation of the whole complex is wonderful, south, southwest and it is surrounded in part of its perimeter by right-of-way rights of way that allow several accesses to the different parts that make it up. It is also crossed by a beautiful mountain stream with transparent and crystalline waters.
